The outreach workers with a focus on school bridging program SBP in partnership with UNICEF will be responsible for the outreach, registration, reporting and data collection in the assigned locations/private schools in Akkar. He / She will work closely with the Education Manager, Education Officer, and Monitoring and Evaluation team. The position will be under the supervision of the Education Officer and monitoring and evaluation Officer.
MEAL’s Deliverables:
- Actively attend training related to the registration, data collection, reporting and communication with beneficiaries.
- Report the achieved targets on a daily/weekly basis.
- Ensure Coordination with MEAL officer mainly for MEAL related activities (technical support/ issues, troubleshooting..)
- Participate in weekly reporting and planning meeting to ensure adherence to standards of care quality and reporting requirements.
- Data collection: conduct door-to-door visits/phone calls per day as per the agreed plan and make sure that all the information addressed in the registration form are filled clearly and correctly.
- Participate in the data cleaning process, following the instructions and guidelines provided by the MEAL officer.
- Ensure confidentiality of the data collected.
- Follow IRC security measures and policies.
- Be committed to participate in any other task to achieve the project overall objectives.
- Perform data entries into platforms/ data base systems.
- Validate entries and clean data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Program’s Deliverables:
- Outreach Lebanese and Syrian children in Akkar area based on the Out of School Mapping activities covering Syrian refugees and Lebanese within the intervention area.
- Identify community focal points among the refugees and host community and maintain contact with them during the outreach period.
- Ensure coordination with Education officer and all actors involved in the outreach to ensure smooth outreach activities.
- Report complaints to the Education officer.
- In coordination with reporting officer/inclusion officer, outreach worker to ensure that children with disabilities target is achieved as an essential part of the outreach campaign in coordination with inclusion officer.
- Ensure confidentiality of the outreach information.
- Follow IRC security measures and policies.
- Enter registration and outreach data into platforms/ data base systems- ensure accuracy of entered data.
- Any other task as assigned by the Education team serving the project overall.
Payment and Schedule:
A lump sum will be paid in one installment at the end of the project.
Qualifications:
- High school / Technical / University degree in Education, Pedagogy, or related field.
- Experience in filling surveys and data entry.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles and good knowledge of the region and local language.Experience in working with refugee communities in Lebanon.
- Capability to establish with the persons and families a good and respectful contact to ensure the quality of interviews.
- Good communication and ability to work in teams.
- Working experience in NGOs is a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision.
