Introduction:

Development for People and Nature Association (DPNA) established in 2003, is a nongovernmental, secular association that works through a wide range of networks of civil society organizations (CSOs) to meet the needs of the local community on the basis of sustainable development. These relationships are part of the organization scale up ability.

DPNA’s Vision is to have a democratic and non-violent society where all citizens enjoy their rights and freedoms. As for its Mission, it is to educate, empower, mobilize, and enable citizens to change and meet the needs of the communities specifically the marginalized groups in rural, bordered, and poverty areas, on the basis of human rights and sustainable development.

About the program:

Lebanon has been witnessing subsequent crises on an economic, health and social levels. Which have escalated with time and have significantly affected the people and country as a whole. To start with, the country’s economy is rapidly deteriorating; with the Lebanese pound devaluating from 1,500LBP/USD to 13,500LBP/USD, affecting the purchasing power and pushing 57% of the Lebanese population under the poverty line. This situation was topped by the COVID-19 outbreak worsening the economic situation and exposing the deficiencies of Lebanon’s social welfare system. In addition, the Beirut Port explosion exacerbated the country’s situation. The explosion did not only rip the city to shreds but also reopened wounds for an extremely fragile population. All of these overlapping crises amplified poverty, unemployment and put communities under further psychosocial burden. They disrupted quotidian activities and resulted in a lifelong impact on children specifically. As their everyday became different than their previous normal.

Due to this instability, various gaps arose and affected children directly by exposing them to a range of risks; psychological and physiological.  From here, the project serves to tackle this situation and aims to ensure the protection of children who face threats that affect their safety and wellbeing by providing them with access to psychological and social support. The project will be divided into 3 different phases.

About the Bid:

DPNA and as a part of this project is looking forward for refreshment service provider to offer estimate 1200 refreshments for the 190 center beneficiaries for a period from 29 August till 25 October, 2022. Information regarding the Bid are mentioned in the attached RFQ. Suppliers interested in applying should submit the following documents:

 Required documents:

• RFQ completed and stamped (attached)
• Commercial Register Certificate
• Certificate of Registration at Ministry of Finance
• Not subject to legal proceedings from the court (Clean Judicial Record)
• Copy of the ID of the representative of the company
• Printed Colored Photos of the items
