Outreach Officer (1x Beirut / 1x Tripoli )

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Project Brief : 

The project is to contribute to the empowerment of young women through informed decision-making, better employability, and linkages with the private sector in Lebanon. This will be done through high-quality career services and life skills training improving the employability of young women through suitable job placement and/or vocational training and stabilizing micro and small enterprises.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify potential participants to the relevant project as per the set criteria (including vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian beneficiaries, etc.)
• Conduct outreach and community dialogue activities
• Assist in social assessment
• Assist in Labor assessment
• Make regular visits to stakeholders (municipalities, unions of municipalities, communities, etc.) to assess the needs of the participants targeted by the project
• Conduct support groups and committee meetings and participate in community forums
• File and archive specific forms and weekly reporting are taking place while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness
• Monitor the daily ongoing activities
• Coordinate with other staff members of the project
• Raise participants’ concerns and report weekly to the Manager
• Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar related job.
• A bachelor's degree with years of experience in fields of social work, economics, marketing, and/or other relevant fields
• Strong experience in outreach
• Excellent reporting, communication, interpersonal skills and proactive negotiation skills
• Have skills in working with people of all ages and groups
• Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English
• Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
