MICS Secondary Editors

Gets questionnaires and other forms from the survey coordinator.

Checks for completeness of questionnaires and for quality of the information and completes the appropriate coding according to the instructions provided to him/her by the survey team.

He/she will check the questionnaires for missing values, inconsistent values, and for ensuring that the skip pattern is followed.

He/she will correct inconsistency, errors and other illogical information according to survey manager’s directions, in some cases he/she might have to get in touch with the interviewers, supervisors or interviewed households etc. to check with them the information found on the questionnaires to correct the information, while working closely with the survey coordinator.

Runs consistency checks on data, spot the source of errors and correct errors according to the survey manager’s instructions.

He/she will code the “other-specify” items and open-ended questions, based on the guidelines provided by the survey coordinator and the survey manager.

He/she will code the questions related to geographic locations, nationality, etc., according to the official and Lebanese classifications.

He/she shall put back all questionnaires, lists, maps and forms in their boxes (of Ilots) in the archives.

He/ she will coordinate with the team of data entry and field work on the process and follow up of questionnaires and forms

Upon the survey manager’s request, attends any meetings.

Execute all other tasks given to him/her by the survey coordinator and/or the survey manager.

2 years of university studies or post college studies is required.
