The Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa is seeking participants interested in the Storytelling workshop.
Participants will take part of 4 storytelling workshops, participate in take home activities, and test their new skills through the final composition and recording of a virtual tour. The expected time commitment for the workshop and hands on activities is estimated to be between 25-30 hours.
Participants will learn about the field of Interpretation including frameworks, tools, and techniques that professionals utilize in creating tours, exhibits, and other interpretive products
Participants will gain hands-on experience in interpreting cultural heritage through creating and recording the narrative for a virtual tour of Byut site in Jabal Moussa.
- 4 training sessions of 4 hours each will be conducted over a 5 weeks period to allow for flexibility.
- Trainees will complete homework during the sessions estimated at 4-8 hours to develop outlines, scripts and talking points.
- Trainees will be responsible for recording developed scripts and additional community members with support from project liaison.
- Trainees will transfer data to CyArk. Estimated 10-16 hours.
- Total estimated hours: 25-30 hours.
- The sessions will be held online and the homeworks are expected to take place on field.
- Training sessions will be held in English.
- The video recordings can be conducted in local language. Tours will be produced in local language and English through translation services.
