Agency Background:
Islamic Relief Worldwide is a faith-inspired humanitarian and development agency working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1984, we now work in over 45 countries assisting individuals, families and communities through emergency response and development projects that typically help over 10 million people each year.
Islamic Relief Lebanon office (IRL) is a humanitarian INGO and one of IRW’s field offices dedicated to alleviating poverty and suffering in Lebanon. IRL has been active since 2006 initiating different projects and activities to support needy people.
Background of the Project:
IRL continuous investments in systems that ensure to deliver the best possible value-for-money for donors – as well as the most relevant outcomes for the vulnerable people that we serve.
One of the planned outcomes of IRL is to enhance the institutional development and efficiency in work by suitable trainings and tools by improving knowledge and skills to match the various changes in the humanitarian field because these improvements will positively affect the efficiency, coordination and the implementation with all the projects’ stakeholders.
IRL aims to enhance the institutional development by providing them trainings and tools about the humanitarian international standards, work processes and guidelines, policies, child protection and safeguarding, MEAL and technical skills.
This is in line with IRL's policy to work on creating new partnerships, reflecting the following trends:
- To enhance localization through working with local Partners.
- Focus on the partners’ capacity building.
Thus, IRL is seeking a potential trainer/training center who meets the requirements to achieve the planned aim. The selected trainer/training center is required to carry out certain tasks and required to meet specific criteria as follows:
Competency and expertise required:
- 5-7 progressive years in similar trainings
- Technical expertise in sector management and statistics
- MEAL Management
Project objectives:
- Increase IRL institutional development
- Increase the local partners’ standards and efficiency in work by the suitable trainings and tools.
- Improve IRL local partners’ knowledge and skills to match the various changes in the humanitarian field.
- Enhance IRL local partners’ knowledge by providing them trainings and tools about the humanitarian international standards, work processes and guidelines, policies, child protection and safeguarding, MEAL and technical skills.
Description of services for the trainer/training center:
The trainer/training center will be responsible to provide following services/ deliverable, during this assignment of the project:

Payments terms and Conditions:
The payments will be made via bank transfer. All applicable government taxes will be excluded from the payment amount. The payment will be processed after receiving the final report.

- Detail Profile of the consultant/trainer/resource person and co trainer/consultant: it must have the qualification, experience, training received and the details of the trainings conducted with organizations names with topics cover.
- Technical proposal, including:
- Methodology, detailed plan and deliverable.
- Presentations
- Handouts
- Previous experience in NGOs capacity building and policy making.
- Sample work
- Financial Proposal: it should provide the resource person fee including with all-inclusive charges.
- Reference List:
Please provide details of 3 I/NGO/UN agency/ government for whom you/company/institute have completed contracts in the last 3 years, the trainer/institute/company has to provide three references as in below table:
