UNV Nutrition Associate

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Nutrition Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:

•    Responsible for Data management related to nutrition, Early Child Development (ECD) and mental health including quality control, data collection, cleaning and analysis from Ministry of Public Health, Public Health Center (PHC) data and other sources on monthly basis.
•    Responsible for reporting and monitoring of relevant indicators at Activity Info on a timely manner as per the monitoring plan of the RWP. In addition, responsible for monitoring of partners Activity Info data reporting on monthly basis (through Neuro DB).
•    Contribute to the internal Sitreps, Donors reports, development, and revision of RWP indicators, COVID-19 reports, and Beirut Blast related reports; and other reporting as needed.
•    Support in reporting of Nutrition and Early Child Development (ECD) relevant indicators for country office annual RAM Reports
•    Support in following-up with MOPH on specific tasks (such as Nutrition and Early Child Development (ECD)  trainings, nutrition supplies).
•    Support development of concept notes on Early Child Development (ECD) and Nutrition projects to be used for call for proposals as requested.
•    Support in Early Child Development (ECD) and nutrition related Programme Document submissions
•    Monitoring of implementing partners activities through programmatic visits and Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfer and monthly progress review meetings.
•    Gather evidence including media reports, studies, news on Early Child Development (ECD)  and Nutrition
•    Support in planning for trainings and meetings as requested including preparation of presentations and other needed materials and steps.
•    Liaise with Planning, Research, Information, Monitoring and Evaluation section (PRIME) on Third Part Monitoring (TPM), maps development, and other related tasks.
•    Contribute and engage in regular internal and external meetings.
•    Support in Supply & Logistics related tasks (e.g., procurement of nutrition and ECD supplies, their delivery plans, and reporting).

•    Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Business Management, Human Resources, or any other related area).
Required Experience: 5 years

• At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Project, HR or programme management, monitoring or other relevant function.
• Experience with UN Agencies or international development organizations is an asset.
• Field work experience particularly focused in the Palestinian camps and gatherings in Lebanon is required.
• Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
• Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
• Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
• Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
• Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
• Sound security awareness.
• Have affinity with or interest in Palestinian Programme, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
