About BESTMEDGRAPE:

Berytech is an implementing partner in Lebanon of the New Business opportunities & Environmental sustainability using MED GRAPE nanotechnological products – BESTMEDGRAPE project. BESTMEDGRAPE aims at supporting the creation of new startups/SMEs by transferring scientific/technological knowledge on local grape cultivars and the exploitation of wine by-products as a source of bioactive compounds that can be transformed into innovative commercial health products. https://berytech.org/programs/bestmedgrape

 

SCOPE OF WORK AND REQUIREMENTS:

Component 1: Feasibility study
 The objective is for the consultant to assist startups in the field of grape waste to better assess the market, assess the competition, and conduct market research on the viability of their product growth.

 

• Service 1: Competitive analysis
• Service 2: Market and customer segmentation
• Service 3 : Market Research ( Data collection and analysis )

Component 2: Marketing Strategy and/or Branding

The consultant will address the marketing part of the business, He/She will support the team in developing their social media and digital marketing strategies and plan. Digital marketing topics will be addressed: marketing strategies, social media, Customer Relationship Management, Content marketing and reporting. He/She will present the different online marketing channels, and how to start marketing your product or company with no or limited budget.

The consultant will address the branding of the startup by creating a corporate identity including Logo design, brand image, vision and mission of the brand image

• Service 1: Content Marketing Strategy
• Service 2: social media and digital marketing
• Service 3: Creation of corporate identity (logo design, brand image,…)

 

Component  3: Legal

The legal expert will provide legal knowledge and advice to the startups and advise them on the types of companies they need to register registration, support them in registering their company, protecting their IP, developing partnerships legal documentations and contracts.

• Service 2: Company Registration
• Service 3: IP Protection
• Service 4: Partnership categories and contracts development

 

Component 4: Finance 

The Finance expert is responsible for introducing the basics of accounting and finance, supporting the startups in developing their financial projections including their balance sheet, cash flow, and develop their investment readiness presentations

• Service 1: Financial Planning
• Service 2 : Investment readiness presentations

 

Scope of Work and Requirements: The consultant should choose one or many of the components, each one related to their specific field of expertise. The consultant will be working with one or many startups; the number of startups and the exact needs will be determined at a later stage in coordination with Berytech. The consultancy mission should be delivered between October 2022 and February 2023.

Each component includes several services, please note that the amount per service, should not exceed 1175 Euros per startup

 

Qualifications

• Consultant experienced in working with the startups on the required topics ( refer to the above) with a minimum of 10 years experience.
• Have knowledge in the food/wine industry is a plus
• Expert trainers or training firms will be selected based on: - The proposal and methodology suggested and its fit for the program’s objectives. - Experts bio, proven track records and experience in the required field - Budget scope
