The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the business literacy topic:
- To ensure that trainees know how to split between personal and business transactions and accounts, use the Expenses and Revenues statement and plan the cash flow.
- To ensure that trainees are familiar with fixed and variable costs and equivalence points.
- To ensure that trainees have the basics of entrepreneurial thinking by developing ideas and feasibility studies.
- To ensure that trainees know how to set SMART goals and use SWOT analysis.
The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the market linkages topic:
- To ensure that trainees know the basics of marketing and how to target their audience.
- To ensure that trainees have the basics of networking and professional communication in a digital, social, mobile world.
- To ensure that trainees have knowledge of negotiation techniques.
- To ensure that trainees are able to develop and deliver business presentations (stand/exhibition/exposition management).
The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the technical and practical for farmers topic:
- To ensure that trainees know how to use integrated pest management farming.
- To ensure that trainees understand the efficiency of irrigation systems and composting techniques.
- To ensure that trainees are familiar with GAP.
- To ensure that trainees understand climate adaptation practices at the individual and business level.
The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the technical and practical for processors topic:
- To ensure that trainees understand the purpose of certification, standardization, and accreditation, TEQ principles.
- To ensure that trainees know how to improve packaging and labeling.
- To ensure that trainees understand climate adaptation practices at the individual and business level.
Deliverables
To conduct training sessions for groups of processors and farmers
- 20 hours per group of business literacy training for 6 groups of processors and farmers (in total 120 hours).
- 20 hours per group of market linkage training for 6 groups of processors and farmers (in total 120 hours).
- 40 hours per group of technical and practical training for 3 groups of processors (in total 120 hours).
- 40 hours per group of technical and practical training for 3 groups of farmers (in total 120 hours).
A total of 480 hours, therefore 120 days of training.
