Operating Model Workshop– DAWERR Incubation Program

Context & Background  

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

This Incubation Program is a program  designed and managed by  BERYTECH under the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon. 

Under DAWERR program, BERYTECH will provide business and technical assistance and other needs to support 3 incubated startup teams in developing their prototype/MVP

Scope of work 

The DAWERR Activity team seeks a Trainer (we are targeting independent trainers only) to support 3 startups in developing their operating model, by delivering one common session covering the below topics in addition to 2 one-on-ones per startup for tailored guidance:

1. What is an operating model, its importance and how to develop one?
2. Operating model and supply chain
3. How to optimize your operational planning and processes
4. Standard operating procedures best practices
5. Analytics and performance management

Workshop Details 

• Workshop length is 4 hours and will be delivered remotely
• Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the scope of the project and profile of the ventures
• Relevant cases studies and practical examples to share during the session

 Expected Deliverables  

Key Deliverables: 

• Deliver 1 common session to all 3 startups 
• PowerPoint Presentation for the common session and supporting documents/templates to share with the startups to create their operating model
• Deliver 2x3 remote one-on-ones with the exact dates and distribution of the hours to be agreed on with the project manager (duration of each one-on-one meeting is 90 minutes).
• One-on-ones will be delivered to support the startups in creating their own operating model
• Feedback forms about each startup following each one-on-one to share with the management team

Qualifications  

• Experienced in delivering similar training to startups with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Effective communicator with any audience in an organized, professional manner
• Desire to deeply understand and empathize with our users.

Expert trainers will be selected based on: 

• Expert bio, proven track records and experience in the required field 
• Budget scope
