A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Art/Drama Therapist is responsible for conducting a series of workshops to encourage dialogue around suicide and support selected beneficiaries with lived experiences with suicide with the goal of improving their psychological, social, emotional, and physical well-being. Responsibilities also include proper assessment of beneficiaries’ receptibility and mental wellbeing as well as of referring them to more specialized services.

C. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributing to further developing the concept of the ART project (workshop plan, participant selection, workshop implementation and workshop exhibition) to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency within the project context.
- Contributing to the assessment and selection of workshop beneficiaries.
- Co-developing the ART project plan in coordinatoon with the project's art facilitator, offering suitable art/drama therapy sessions for beneficiaries based on their needs and preferred forms of artistic expression.
- Co- leading ART project sessions with two set project groups recruited from individuals receiving therapy and individuals on the waiting list of the Embrace clinic within the allocated project time frame.
- Coordinating with the mental health professionals at the Embrace Clinic to respond to project beneficiaries presenting symptoms and/or challenges that require further support from the clinic social work and/or consultations.
- Administering pre and post measures to assess the effectiveness of the intervention.
- Maintaining progress notes of the content of art therapy sessions as well as observations made during the sessions.
- Co-organizing with the project art facilitator the ART project exhibition meant to present the art work produced by the beneficiaries within the community with the aim of breaking the stigma around mental health while respecting the privacy and confidentiality of the beneficiaries.
D. QUALIFICATONS
1. Critical Skills
- MA in Clinical Psychology and specialization in art therapy
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing art therapy
- Good knowledge on the topic of suicide and suicide prevention.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, French is an asset.

- Demonstrates respect for the traditions, values and norms of beneficiaries originating from different cultures and ethnicities.

- Demonstrates the ability to motivate others and delegate towards a shared mission and goal.
E. TIME COMMITMENT
- Approximate 8 to 10 hours per week for 6 weeks of art therapy sessions including preparation and reporting for each session.
- Initial and closing meetings with project beneficiaries, leads and partners
- Participation in ART project exhibition (approx. 4 hours).
- Weekly follow up briefs with project lead (Embrace) and partner (GIZ).
- 1day of report writing following the project closure

The Art /DramaTherapist reports to the Project lead along with coordination with the project partner GIZ
