Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will provide regular support and guidance in the areas of Information Technology (IT) & Information Management (IM), data management, analysis and reporting. The Data Analyst will conduct independent analysis of quantitative and qualitative data collected by the project and will be expected to develop timely and concise analytical reports from this analysis. The Data Analyst will also have a strong role in quality assurance, including by reviewing analysis conducted by other team members. This is a full time position based in Ouzai, Beirut. 

Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the Information Technology (IT) & Information Management (IM) functions of the NGO.

Design and implement data entry, processing & analyses of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) studies, in particular in relation to baseline surveys & impact evaluations.

This includes establishing quality assurance processes for data cleaning and integrity checks in particular, identifying outliers, missing values & errors, through both manual & statistical / econometric revision of the baseline & evaluation data.

Assist in designing of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) studies, with special focus on developing data collection tools, methodologies & quality assurance processes.

Receive and handle complaints by coordinating with the hotline and feedback mechanism channels, report any incidents and feedback. Create and modify any sensitive information cases.

Participate actively in planning & conducting Post Distribution Assessments (PDAs) & beneficiary training impact assessment studies at all stages, including the process of designing questionnaires, quality assurance, data entry, processing, analysis & help with drafting the final reports.

Perform other related duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management / Science, Project Management, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, or closely related fields.

Excellent computer skills, including quantitative analysis, use of Excel.

Experience in designing, planning & conducting Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Excellent communication, writing & presentation skills in English & Arabic.

Demonstrated ability to implement a variety of analytical methodologies & techniques.

Experience designing quantitative surveys and/or qualitative interview guides, required

Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, required
