Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Job Purpose

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer) will be in monitoring and evaluating ongoing projects on site. The officer will be responsible for data collection, interpretation and reporting to measure the project’s performance and efficiency. The officer will also help FA in strengthening its M&E system by providing proper data collection and measurement in addition to shedding the light on critical indicators that need to be added.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervises regular data collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations.
  • Records, manages and preserves monitoring and evaluation data in a safe and accessible way.
  • Ensures that all data is entered correctly and in time, providing feedback to relevant managers if there are gaps or incoherent information.
  • Ensures that different databases are up to date (new entry and updates) and completes and that all incoherent information is promptly corrected.
  • Analyses and discusses findings based on regular monitoring data.
  • Produces timely-based reports on relevant statistics.
  • Ensures that implementation of field activities adheres to FA’s monitoring and evaluation system.
  • Supports team name in dealing with any other tasks as may be required.
  • Any other tasks required to accomplish the project objectives.

Job Requirements:

Academic Qualification

  • University degree in any relevant doctrine.

Professional Experience

  • One to two years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in report writing.

Skills

  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Capacity to work in team and flexibility to take on new tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Dynamic leader with creative problem-solving skills, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

Others

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail.
  • Knowledge of contextual diversity of various areas of Tripoli, Lebanon.
