The position’s main purpose is to provide Math, Science, Arabic, and English classes for non-Lebanese children.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and educate groups of children in grades 1 to 4 according to provided curriculum requirements, using exciting methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests
- Plan, prepare, animate, lead, and mediate in a creative way
- Organize educational, recreational, and social activities for students
- Ensure, promote and facilitate that the principles of child protection and child participation are integrated into all project activities and communication with students
- Always ensure strict adherence to PARD Child Protection Policies, including respect for confidentiality and child-centered approach, acting in the best interests of the child
- Show self-motivation, enthusiasm, and creativity.
- Work effectively with team members.
- Maintain records and prepare reports and recommendations
- Work in close coordination with the administration, Project Coordinator, CP Officer, CP facilitator, and all other related staff.
- Provide monthly reports on the progress and effectiveness of actions made.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field
- At least 2 years of work experience teaching
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and oral English skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Preferred:
- NGO experience
- Experience working with refugee population
- Ability to write clear and concise reports in English
