Pricing Consultant - Nation Station

Nation Station is a youth grassroots’ initiative, based in a rehabilitated gas station in the heart of the neighborhood of Geitawi in Beirut. It was created in response to the Beirut explosion on August 4, 2020, to serve as a hub for food distribution, as well as medical and rehabilitation support.

Since its creation, Nation Station has evolved from an immediate relief center to a long-term, self-sustaining community hub that includes a social kitchen and a clinic serving vulnerable households in Geitawi, and that hosts cultural events and platforms of collaboration with other crisis intervention initiatives.

Nation Station seeks to recruit a Pricing Consultant to improve the inventory and pricing system of its Social Kitchen, to develop a pricing guideline, and to put in place an updated price list.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Understanding the sustainability goals and mission of Nation Station
• Reviewing the existing pricing strategy, system, and processes
• Identifying issues and areas of improvement
• Developing a new pricing system that is compatible with Nation Station’s sustainability goals
• Putting in place new templates, procedures, and processes that ensure the functionality and sustainability of the pricing system
• Designing a new inventory system for the kitchen
• Designing a strategy for meal portions and recipes in collaboration with the Data Officer
• Supporting the capacity building of the team in terms of strategic planning sustainability

• Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, data and analytics, accounting, or other related fields
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, price consulting, or strategic consulting, preferably in the food industry
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial tools
• Exceptional skills in problem-solving, active listening, strategic planning, and decision-making
• Excellent reporting and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Superior organization and communication skills
• Computer skills: mainly in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of food industry software is a plus (knowledge in Omega system will be a plus)

• Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus
