JOB SUMMARY
Through community-based approach (educational and outreaching activities), the Education Assistant is responsible for identifying, counselling and assisting children out of school, students at risk of drop out or violence, with their families.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct assessment, survey or outreach activities as required
- Refer cases that need follow-up to designated internal focal points
- Counsel and follow up with children’ families on their needs for educational support
- Participate in the field work and respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information
- Organize educational activities to children, parents and community members
- Coordinate with other CL staff on the field
- Coordinate with community structures
- Support in administrative work when required
- Participate in data collection related to the education component and report on it on timely manner
- Report weekly and monthly on activities and results to the Office Coordinator Education coordinator
- Perform any other task as assigned by the Education coordinator

ACADEMIC EDUCATION
BA in Education, Social studies or any other related field.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
2 to 3 years of experience in the field.
