Request for Quotes (RFQ) 03-01/23: Transportation Trucks and porters

Under WFP’s In-Kind 2023 Programme, DCL is requested to distribute (until December 2023) food rations to pre-selected beneficiaries in Tripoli, Minieh, and Dennieh-Syr.

The boxes to be distributed are of 20.01Kg; The duration of the distribution is 11 months (February till December).

As such, DCL is looking for a supplier to provide Trucks, porters at the warehouse, porters at the sites, and forklift drivers at the warehouse

Details:

• Trucks (of a maximum capacity of 9 tons) to transfer the food rations from DCL’s warehouse in Tripoli- behsas area to the distribution sites (Tripoli-Mina, Minieh, Merkabta, and Syr). The transportation will take place during the distribution days, each month these distribution days are as follow Tripoli: 10 Days, Minieh/Merabta: 5 Days, Syr: 5Days; the estimated number of trucks per month will be as follow: Tripoli: up to 29 trucks; Minieh/Merkabta: up to 15 trucks

And Syr: up to 15 trucks

• The trucks should stay at the distribution site until the completion of the distribution process or until fully empty and, in case there are remaining parcels at the end of the day in the last truck, return them to the warehouse in Tripoli.

• 4 Porters at the warehouse during the days that food parcels are received by WFP (Number of receiving days per month up to 7 days) and 4 porters during the distribution days (number of warehouse distribution days is up to 10). These porters will off-load and/or load the parcels on the trucks.

• 4 porters per site per distribution day to offload the rations from the trucks into the beneficiaries’ cars.

• 1 forklift driver for receiving days (up to 7 days) and 1 forklift driver for distribution days (up to 10 days)

*It should be noted that some of the receiving days may merge with the distribution days.

The supplier will receive every Friday the final schedule for the coming week, or, at least 48 hours before the distribution.

The supplier should offer free of charge cancellation if the cancellation is confirmed up to 6PM on the day before the distribution (or reception) of food parcels.
