Vacancy Notice – Videographer

Assignment Description: Support the filming of a short documentary (ca. 5 minutes) on community policing in Lebanon.

Assignment Location: Tyr, Tripoli, Kfarshima, Kfardebian, Jezzine, Jabal Al Sheikh Union of Municipalities, and selected areas across Lebanon.

Employment Type: Short-term consultancy. 

Assignment Period: February–March 2023. 

Level of Effort: Up to 7 expert days

DRI is looking for an experienced videographer to support the filming of a short documentary of ca. 5 minutes on community policing in Lebanon. The shooting will take place on the field with municipal police officers in multiple areas across Lebanon.

Assignment Overview  

 

The videographer will assist DRI’s Content Production and Media Relations Coordinator in shooting videos at selected municipalities across Lebanon to highlight the daily duties conducted by the municipal/union police. The videographer should be able to shoot high-quality videos and record daily interactions of the municipal/union police with the locals. The videographer is also expected to provide noise free voice recordings to the Content Production and Media Relations Coordinator.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your Tasks and Deliverables

Under the supervision of DRI’s Project Coordinator and in close coordination with the Content Production and Media Relations Coordinator, the Expert will:

  • Accompany DRI’s Content Production and Media Relations Coordinator in the selected regions and assist him in filming short video interviews and testimonies of the participants that highlight their stories and experience, including portraits of participants.
  • Film high-quality footage as videos and photos of the region and its characteristics.
  • Write down a shot list to record after each interview, to use them as inserts.
  • Use his/her own equipment, preferably a hybrid Sony Alpha camera Series 7 or equivalent to shoot 4K videos, with a Gimbal stabiliser (DJI RS2 or more is preferrable), an on-camera monitor battery powered, an onsite LED video light battery powered, a professional high-quality wireless microphone, and a professional video fluid head tripod.
  • Attend coordination meetings with the DRI team to determine and finalise the specifics of the deliverable.

 

 Your Skills & Experience  

  • 5 to 7 years of demonstratable experience in videography and recording similar projects/activities.
  • A varied videography portfolio including similar works. 
  • Cultural and gender sensitivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver products according to the specified technical requirements and under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent experience in using the relevant equipment.
