Municipality of Tyre

To provide democratic and accountable government for local communities, ensure the sustained provision of services, promote social and economic development and a safe and healthy environment, and encourage community participation in local government. Municipal governments are responsible for areas such as parks, community water systems, local police, roadways and parking. They receive authority for these areas from the provincial governments.
