Monitoring & Evaluation Officer- Beirut/Mount of Lebanon

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Contribute to the design of Logframe/M&E/ITT document in line with the MEAL manager.
  2. Support the implementation of activities to monitor program quality as per the M and E plan.
  3. Design of MEAL and/or project tools as per the M and E plan
  4. Follow up on the MEAL milestones and tasks as set in the M and E plan.
  5. Ensure adherence to planned schedules, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines.
  6. Oversee and follow up on the work of volunteers and data collectors.  
  7. Ensure data collected is shared with relevant parties and is adequately stored.
  8. Complete quantitative and qualitative data analysis of outcome data.
  9. Ensure that reporting on actuals and targets is completed as per the project proposal.
  10. Support in the preparation for and implementation of lessons learned sessions.
  11. Organize and provide (when needed) refresher M&E trainings for relevant staff.
  12. Support in the creation and of dashboards.
  13. Ensure proper identification and filing of project documents.
  14. Coordinate with other departments regarding deadlines, workflow, and expectations.
  15. Contribute to interim and final donor narrative report writings (PDM, PIM)
  16. Lead the logistic activities related to area of work.
  17. Be flexible, willing to assist in other areas of work as relevant and needed.
  18. Maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure with the Medair team, beneficiary communities, and beneficiaries and donors.

 

  • QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • -Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • - ODK and Excel knowledge
  • - Good oral and written communication
  • -At least 2 years related professional experience.
  • - Experience conducting surveys.
  • - NGO experience.
  • -Excellent oral and written Arabic
  • - Moderate written and excellent spoken English
  • -Excellently organized with attention to detail.
  • -Clear communicator, skilled in oral and written communication

  • - Excellent capacity to sensibly respond to beneficiary questions and complaints.
  • -Flexible in working hours and willing to work in remote areas.
  • -Ability to facilitate programme and community interactions regardless of ethnicity, status, gender, origin or affiliation.
  • - Sensitive to cross cultural issues.
  • - Aware of security considerations.
  • - Good judgement in insecure situations.
  • - Calm under pressure.
