Consultant Scope of Work – PT Temporary Staff

 

Period of Performance: March 1st, 2023, until August 31st, 2023

Level of Effort: The number of days to be worked will be based on the different M&E activities needed and will be communicated to the consultant as applicable when the activities are due.

 

Background: IMC MEAL Team implements M&E systems and processes including data collection, analysis and reporting of data as required.

 

Purpose: The consultant will support M&E TEAM in all aspects of M&E systems and activities as needed during the duration of the consultancy.

 

Task Description: Consultant will serve as a temporary staff for the MEAL mission in Lebanon.

Specifically, Consultant will complete the following tasks:

  • Assist with implementing M&E systems and processes, including developing M&E workplans, and collecting data from various sources. 
  • Supervise and train enumerators and provide guidance as needed. 
  • Translate data collection tools from English to Arabic. 
  • Provide basic analyses of M&E data using statistical software (e.g., Microsoft Excel). 
  • Perform regular data cleaning and quality checks. 
  • Conduct periodic on-site routine data quality audits at different field sites/office levels. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including visual aids to support findings and recommendations. 
  • Take accurate and detailed meeting minutes. 
  • Handle troubleshooting requests related to reporting tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox). 
  • Maintain accurate records of M&E activities and data, including developing databases and spreadsheets for data management and analysis. 
  • Support M&E training and capacity-building activities. 
  • Develop data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK and others). 
  • Have a good command of English and strong communication skills. 
  • Other deliverables as requested by the department.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, economics, social sciences, public health). 
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations. 
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with limited supervision. 
  • Patience, good personal organization, strong verbal, and written communication skills,
  • Ability to work with seriousness, rigor, and personal accountability. 
  • Professional knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, excel and outlook) and Data collection platforms (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK and others). 
  • The Consultant needs to have an MoF number he/she will have to provide  

Deliverables/Due Dates/Payment Schedule:

The number of days to be worked will be based on the different MEAL activities planned and will be communicated to the consultant as applicable when the tasks are due./ Due Date: TBD – If needed an annex will be added to this SoW to determine the due date/ Payment: 30$ per day after a full day’s work

Fixed Price Fee: A Fixed Fee of 30 $ per day will be given to the consultant after a full day’s work as listed in the Deliverables/Due Dates/Payment Schedule.

Location of Work: Consultants will be based in Beirut with possible field visits.

Total Maximum Compensation (fixed or level of effort fees plus expenses): Depending on MEAL activities.            

- Please note, for Lebanon-based roles, we are only able to accept applications from candidates who are eligible to work in Lebanon. Since the position is a national role, we are unable to progress applications that would require sponsorship
