Under the direct supervision of the MEAL Officer, the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the data collection process, analyzing data and entering data of required IOCC projects. He/ she will communicate with the MEAL Officer, follow-up on project activities, and submit reports.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Assist in data collection from the field staff.
- Provide day to day data quality verification.
- Assist in creating digital data collection tools.
- Follow-up on submission of monitoring surveys.
- Assist in maintaining database backup and filing systems.
- Provide support in compiling data.
- Submit regular reports and feedback on challenges faced during data collection.
- Assess, discuss, and address program challenges with the MEAL Officer.
- Coordinate all tasks with the MEAL Officer.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of work experience with a local or International NGOs.
- Fair knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies (quantitative and qualitative data analysis and management)
- Very good knowledge in Excel is a must.
- Experience in digital data form design, data collection, data entry and analysis.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a team.
- Ability to work with large quantities of data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good report writing skills.
- Capacity and willingness to travel to the field.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of work experience in NGOs and humanitarian field
Working Conditions
- Stationed in the office located in Mansourieh, with frequent field visits.
- Preferable that candidate resides in Beirut-Mt Lebanon area.
