Monitoring - Evaluation and Reporting Officer

Job Description: 

Tool Development & Data Management

• Contribute to the development of adequate and efficient logical frameworks for each project.
• Develop robust monitoring and evaluation systems that will track projects/program results at different levels (outputs, outcomes, and impact).
• Periodically review and suggest improvements to better fit the projects' context and the team’s needs.
• Develop qualitative and quantitative data collection tools.
• Develop baseline data.
• Ensure that each grant has an adequate M&E plan.

M&E implementation & coordination

• Coordinate with field teams to ensure proper and timely implementation of the M&E framework, data collection methods and tools, and respect for the guidelines.
• Collect data regularly to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
• Collect and submit regularly to the MDO director, M&E quantitative, and qualitative data to feed into the projects.
• Maintain and update the database.
• Incorporate field team feedback to ensure the continuous improvement of data management systems.

Reporting

• Consolidate field data to be submitted regularly to donors under the program frameworks and indicators.  
• In collaboration with the MDO director, write compelling narrative reports for donors, promptly.

Capitalisation

• Contribute to a constructive learning environment, and promote good practices.
• Support the development of relevant accountability initiatives and strengthen the effort to document the impact of GSS activities by sharing lessons learned from regularly reporting with the MDO team and communicating recommendations.
• Extra tasks might be required according to the MDO director: Data collection (and coordination with the field), Reporting, Evaluation – feedback, and Translations.
