Disability and Inclusion Consultant

Tasks include the following:

• Consultative Meetings with relevant entities to set a framework for the community-based rehabilitation services.
• Setting a roadmap for the identification, counselling, and referral policies for persons with disabilities and older persons.
• Development of referral tools and processes for community-based rehabilitation services.
• Preparation of a report on effective practices in the identification, counseling, and referral of persons with disabilities and older persons.
• Support in the mapping of services related to community-based rehabilitation services
• Support in the development and piloting of an Identification, Counselling and Referral portal.

Qualifications:

• Relevant academic qualifications and field experience in community-based rehabilitation, mental health.
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in Inclusion and Disability and community-based rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of community frameworks and key policies relevant for person with disability and older persons.
• A commitment to promoting and supporting person with disability and older persons rights and gender equality.
• Understanding of issues and sensitivities required when working with persons with disability and older persons. 
• Fluent in spoken and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
• Ability to deliver on tight time frames and meet deadlines within agreed budgets.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
