About the Project

Search is implementing a four-year project called “Women, Youth, Peace and Security” in the Levant and Yemen. The project’s overall goal is to strengthen women and youth’s meaningful, enduring participation in advancing inclusive peace and security in the Levant and Yemen. The project aims to: 1) to consolidate Women Rights Organization (WRO) and Youth Led Organizations (YLO)s’ strategic engagement and influence in municipal and national peace and reconciliation processes; 2) to motivate key sub-national and national institutions to strengthen inclusive policies and standards facilitating inclusive youth and women’s participation in peace and security; 3) to promote shifts in social norms around women and youth’s meaningful inclusion in peace and security at all levels, including stronger alliances with men and boys.

 

Consultancy Summary

The Campaign Developer will support the project and Media and Comms teams in designing, developing, and implementing a “Power of Peacebuilding” Campaign, which will aim to highlight peacebuilding initiatives and their impact on their communities, as well as peacebuilding as a tool to advance the achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

S/he will be under the direct supervision of the project manager and in close coordination with the Media and Comms team to develop and design the content and the dissemination plans (possibly remotely) for this campaign.

 

 

Goals and Objectives of the Consultancy

The goal of the campaign is to showcase that local peacebuilding is the cornerstone of legitimate and meaningful participation at all levels, but often goes unrecognized in official peace processes at the national and sub-national levels. The campaign will use diverse media products and storytelling approaches to highlight concrete examples of local peacebuilding and its impact to the community.

 

Expected deliverables

  • Inception Report (English): this includes content development ideas and a workplan for the execution, dissemination plan with a timeline and ideas of branding and taglines (in Arabic);
  • Content for review (two Arabic drafts for review and approval): the consultant is encouraged to utilize diverse media products, storytelling approaches and online/offline possibilities for dissemination;
  • Filming or producing all content as needed;
  • Final campaign which includes all content, branding and taglines, and dissemination plans; and
  • Campaign report, including content and analysis on engagement / reach.

Budget

Total budget is 15,000 USD (this includes all production costs as well)

 

Required Profile

Search is looking for either independent consultants or firms to apply for this opportunity.

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic;
  • More than 5 years of experience in content creation and setting up dissemination plans;
  • Experience in working with international organizations;
  • Solid communication skills, cultural awareness and sensitivity;
  • Ability to work with people from various social and professional backgrounds and at all levels; and,
  • Knowledgeable of levant country contexts.
  • Strong knowledge on women’s right, youth and peacebuilding contexts in the levant
