Common Effort Organization is excited to announce a paid internship opportunity for aspiring full stack web developers who are eager to make a difference and contribute their skills to a noble cause. This is a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector and work with a dynamic and dedicated team.
The internship will last for 3 months and will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive learning experience, including on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to various aspects of our work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Designing user interactions on websites
• Developing servers and databases for website functionality
• Coding for mobile platforms
• Developing front-end website architecture
• Creating servers and databases for functionality
• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
• Designing and developing APIs
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Vue
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, and PHP
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
This is a paid internship, and the compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Based on performance, there may be opportunities for contract awarding or extension.
Work modality: The internship will be based at our premises in Sin El Fill.
