Capacity Building Experts/Organizations– REAF Program

The Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program aims at strengthening the business and product viability of innovative startups tackling sustainable rural economic development operating in South Mount Lebanon, Central and West Bekaa. The program will provide the startups with the tools to transform their ideas into sustainable and profitable businesses. REAF’s youth training will enhance their entrepreneurship mentality and entry into the job market.

Berytech is seeking proposals from experienced experts to deliver capacity building workshops on the following topics: Governance, Proposal writing, Donors relations/Fundraising, Project Management, Sustainable Organizational modelling. The capacity building workshops will aim to provide two innovation and business support organizations with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve governance, write effective proposals, establish and maintain relationships with donors and fundraising activities, effectively manage projects, and implement sustainable organizational models.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The workshops and mentoring will be delivered to both organizations (Innovation and business support organizations)  covering the following set of competencies for each topic in hybrid format (Online & Offline):

Governance

• Review of current governance practices and identification of areas for improvement
• Training on best practices for board management, decision-making, and accountability
• Development of governance policies and procedures
• Implementation and monitoring of governance improvements

Proposal Writing / Donors Relations

• Training on techniques for writing compelling and effective proposals
• Development of proposal templates
• Training on strategies for building and maintaining relationships with donors
• Training on effective fundraising techniques
• Training on how to use CRM systems to manage relationships with stakeholders and track performance

Project Management

• Developing project goals, objectives, and logframe
• Managing project resources
• Identifying project risks and mitigation strategies

Sustainable Organizational Modelling

• Training on strategies for implementing sustainable business models
• Development of sustainable organizational model plan

DELIVERABLES:

Capacity Building Workshops:

• Governance: A set of policies and procedures for effective governance
• Proposal Writing/Donor Relations: An effective dynamic proposal template and Donors relation strategy
• Project Management: A set in place project management processes and tools
• Sustainable Organizational Modelling: A sustainable organizational model plan

Mentorship:

• Individualized coaching sessions to support implementation of the workshops' deliverables
• Progress reports and check-ins to ensure implementation of the deliverables
• Assessment of the success of the implementation and identification of areas for improvement and a thorough sustainability plan.

• the tenure of the offering to be over 9 months including an assessment phase, implementation phase (workshops & mentorships), and finally a follow-up period.

• The ability to customize training programs to meet the specific needs and goals of the organization.
• A commitment to monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the capacity building program and adjusting it as needed.
