UNV Research Assistant

Assignment context: The candidate is required to complete their tasks and responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and punctuality, and that includes tasks related to administration, research, proofreading, etc.

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer, the National Youth UN Volunteer is responsible to perform the below functions:

• Assist in implementing the activities planned on the project document
• Assist in compiling, processing and manipulating data sets derived from a variety of sources
• Assist in coordinating with partners of the project
• Respond to internal/external requests on questions related to the Project
• Assist in liaising with National Statistics Offices to obtain necessary statistical information
• Prepare data sets upon request, respond to queries/requests and update project’s web page
• Provide administrative assistance and backstopping services in the organization of training workshops, meetings, technical assistance missions and seminars that are programmed within the above-captioned project
• Undertake ad hoc basic research and tasks in areas related to the project field
• Assist in drafting substantive reports and presentations
• Proofreads documents and edits texts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation and style, and for adherence to established standards for format.
• Previous experience in UN Agency
• Experience in the Arab region research work
• Perform other duties as assigned.
