Business and Proposals Development Expert Consultant

Scope of Work: The consultant may be requested to perform for the following tasks: 

  • Leading proposal development efforts including proposals writing  
  • Mapping out and hunting large scale opportunities in order to secure funding for programs 
  • Tailoring donor engagement approaches
  • Providing expert advice on proposal development
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on proposal documents, upon request
  • Providing expert advice on donor requirements and expectations  
  • Ensuring that proposals are in compliance with donor requirements  

Qualifications: The ideal candidates should have the following qualifications: 

  1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in proposal development and grant management 
  1. Extensive experience in successfully submitting proposals to institutional donors, including ECHO, USAID, RDPP, KFW, GGP, and other similar donors. 
  1. Excellent research, writing and communication skills 
  1. Ability to work under tight deadlines 
  1. Strong project management skills 
  1. Experience in capacity building and training- preferred  

Reporting: The consultant will report to the Head of Business Development, Quality & Impact Department.
