Midwife - Beirut

Job Objective:

Identify and carry out all patient nursing care with a high level of provided services at a Primary Healthcare Center in Beirut.

Main tasks:

• Provide needed support to all patients taking into consideration their physical, psychological, and safety needs.
• Prepare necessary equipment and assist in diagnostic tests and therapeutic measures.
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Carry out medical treatment as assigned by physicians.
• Provide medication to patients as assigned by physicians.
• Answer all patients’ calls and inquiries.
• Provide needed teaching to patients and family members.
• Respond to emergency medical cases with promptness and proper judgment.
• Know how to use all primary health care center medical equipment.
• Ensure maintaining a quiet and clean environment for patients.
• Prepare an accurate report on patients' cases and conditions.
• Carry out all medical orders.
• Administer direct prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum patient services and primary care to low to moderate-risk obstetrical and gynecological patients.
• Consult obstetrician and co-manage comprehensive care for high-risk patients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety measures in the workplace.
• Perform life-saving emergency measures pending obstetrician arrival.
• Provide needed advice and care for women before and after delivery.
• Teach mothers breastfeeding and childcare techniques.
• Plan for the implementation of social and health activities in the community, in coordination with the Head of the Section.
• Perform additional related duties as requested by the Head of the Section.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Midwifery
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and internet use
