Media officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, design and develop engaging and target specific communication and media materials
• Develop, write and edit communications materials, including press releases, posts and social media content
• Create and design social media posts on all JWF’s platform, generate compelling content for our social media outlets
• Monitor trends in social media tools and grow web traffic for project social media pages and website
• Take and organize photographs of daily activities onsite and post them on social media
• Create promotional videos and presentations to increase visibility
• preparing visual and written content for social media outlets, website, newsletters …
• Managing the content of JWF’s website, creating regular updates and contents
• Ensure professional, friendly and highly responsive platforms that maintain the highest standards of appearance
• Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
• Maintain and build a network of social media contacts with other NGOs.

Requirements: 

• Excellent English and Arabic writing and editing skills
• Marketing and communication skills
• Bachelor Degree in PR or Communication or any equivalent
• Computer proficiency in Word, design software, film editing software,
• Strong photography and video editing skills
• Time management [ability to prioritize]
• Proactive planning 
• Creativity

• Experience of networking, communications
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills with an ability to work to tight deadline
• Proven strong knowledge of existing social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
