Community Health Educator – 2 position located in Hermel and 1 position located in Arsal – 100%

-Function responsibilities include:

• Prepare material and deliver health education sessions, messages and topics addressed to different populations regarding hygiene, diseases and prevention.
• Ensure all the patients and caretakers are well informed, according to protocols, about health related issues and services provided.
• Monitor health situation and living conditions of the population by conducting nutritional screening, collecting information related to food security, checking vaccination status of children, looking actively for any defaulters in programs that require this type of research, collecting information on number of people arriving or leaving the community, births and deaths in the community, etc.
• Identify people with medical problems, contact with medical team and report for immediate transfer if needed. He/she has to inform to the line manager about any problem encountered (population, equipment, material…).
• Report to line manager of all results of screening and visits on a regular basis.

-Specific activities:

• Maintain good relationship with community leaders and other key people and attend different meetings regarding community health activities organized inside the community with line manager approval.
• Keeping the IEC material in good condition, propose the new material to diversifie the quality of session
• Participante in different survey, assessment regarding patients needs, health seeking behavior of epidemiological surveillance
• Collect data on daily basis, produce the report using DHIS2 on weekly basis and propose new strategies to reach the indicators assigned to the project in general and to Health promotion especially.

-Required qualification:

Education

•     Essential Community Health or Public Health diploma.

•     Desirable bachelor’s degree in public health

Experience

•    Desirable: A minimum of 1 year of previous work experience in a similar position

•    Desirable: Previous experience in MSF or other (I)NGO’s

Languages                            

•    Essential: Full professional proficiency of the Arabic Language

•    Essential: Elementary proficiency of the English language.
