Design Thinking Workshop – DAWERR Activity

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

This Incubation Program is a program  designed and managed by  BERYTECH under the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon. 

Under DAWERR program, BERYTECH will provide business and technical assistance and other needs to support 6 incubated startup teams in enhancing their MVP and get them prepared to go to market/scale.

The DAWERR Activity team seeks an expert (we are targeting independent consultants only) to deliver a design thinking bootcamp for the 6 startups over a period of 3 days, to deliver the following:

• Support startups in validating their riskiest assumptions.
• Guide the startups through the design thinking process as a tool to refine their business model
• Prepare the startups with a solid understanding of their business to the acceleration phase during which they will focus on the product improvement, go-to-market strategy and marketing.
• Prepare them to prepare an action plan for the coming 3 months with specific goals, KPIs and timeline

• Certification as a Design Thinking/Design Sprint practitioner or coach would be good to have, in addition to having industry knowledge.
• Ability to lead workshops with multidisciplinary teams and support each individuals’ style and growth
• Rigorous business acumen across many of the following areas: Product Development, Product Management, Start-ups, Marketing (Product or Brand), Organizational Behavior, Operations, Finance, and Design
• Experience working with early-stage startups
• Excellent communication skills
• Strategic in thinking and analytical in execution

• Budget scope
