- Ensures that the medical programs contribute to strategic goals, objectives and targets and it is relevant to the Order of Malta’s mission and vision.
- Ensures that medical programs implementation is adherent to Order of Malta policies and procedures.
- Oversees medical projects implementation ensuring delivery is as effective and efficient as possible.
- Facilitates the coordination between the medical programs and ensures that program managers are coordinating together.
- Develops or approves budgets in coordination with the finance department.
- Leads on internal and external medical program/project evaluations as necessary and ensures the execution of baseline, periodic, and final evaluations as necessary in coordination with the team.
- Allocates resources and supplies throughout projects as to ensure staff can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential.
- Ensures timely submission of reports to donors.
- Collaborates closely with the finance team related to budget design processes, financial reporting and all other relevant matters.
- Ensures proper systems, tools and mechanisms are in place for the effective implementation of the programs.
- Ensures that the programs deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
- Ensures that the medical program implementation is compliant with the donors’ rules and regulations.
- Provides continued capacity building to all direct reports and creates a pleasant and respectful work environment that promotes learning, accountability, and ownerships.
- Ensures adequate performance reviews are done on time, and that staff are given constant feedback on work performance and key priorities.
- Supports in the brainstorming of developing new medical proposal and budget for new projects.
- Participates in the recruiting of relevant team members.
- Conducts field visit when needed.
