ICLA Volunteer

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

Responsibilities:

ICLA set a list of tasks, listed below, each volunteer would be fulfilling:

  • Support in the data entry.
  • Use ICLA templates and tools to document ICLA's activities in the field.
  • Provide inputs to ICLA reports on activities in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
  • Ensure that all protection related encountered cases are referred to the relevant referral focal point or teams.
  • Assist in arranging appointments with ICLA lawyers and appropriately manage ICLA's legal assistance cases, in accordance with ICLA structure, guidelines and principles.

Qualifications and Relevant Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferrable in law, political sciences, International Relations, or Social Sciences.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the humanitarian/development sector.
  3. Proficiency in Arabic and in English, both written and spoken.
