Field Assistant

CARE is implementing a capacity-building and livelihood community-based agriculture project that seeks to address critical capacity gaps along targeted value chains at both the individual, communal and institutional levels This position is responsible for the outreach, implementation, follow up, and quality maintenance for the Agricultural Training activities, GHP/GMP, Food processing trainings, and GMP according to donor’s request with the support of the team

 

Responsibility: Project Implementation & Field work

  • Support the training and guidance of partner organizations in North and South Lebanon.
  • Act as a liaison with partner organizations, NGOs, and community focal points to facilitate communication and support the implementation of projects.
  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits to partner locations to ensure quality implementation and provide support when needed.
  • Develop, update and follow up on a detailed work plan in line with donor agreement and in agreement with the CARE Project Manager, ensuring that the plan is properly communicated to and implemented by partner organizations.
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of data by partner organizations for statistical purposes, ensuring adherence to the organization's confidentiality/privacy policy.
  • Assist in organizing, preparing, and running meetings, workshops, and conferences with partner organizations. Attend these meetings and draft minutes for record keeping.
  • Assist in the filing, archiving and retrieving of project documents when needed.
  • Assist in gathering monitoring data from partners to compile project reports.
  • Conduct himself/herself professionally, maintaining strong relationships with partners and upholding the reputation and humanitarian mission of CARE.
  • Perform any other tasks as required by the organization or the supervisor.

5. Qualifications / special skills or knowledge

a. Skills & knowledge:

  • Experience in in Field work and databases.
  • Extensive knowledge in Livelihoods Sector
  • Extensive experience interacting with and relating to gender professionals and international stakeholders at senior level.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal relationships and networks.
  • Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative and international environment

b. Experience:

At least   3-5  years of relevant experience, especially at NGOs, academic organizations, standard-setting bodies, public agencies focused on data collection and analysis

c. Academic background: 

Bachelor’s degree in one or several of the following areas: Business

  1. Languages: English and/ or Arabic are the working language of CARE International in Lebanon.
  1. of other languages is an asset.
