EORE Agent- Chouf Area

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the RE Team Leader and reporting to the Land release Project Manager, the EORE Agent is responsible for Mobilizing and facilitating active participation of children and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of community development initiatives. Build the capacity of children, families and community to collectively engage local leaders on identified issues. Also, he/she will be in charge of delivering Explosive Ordnance Risk education sessions

Reports to: RE Team Leader

LM+1: Land Release Project Manager/Chief of ops

Responsibilities

Responsibility 1: Under the supervision of the Risk education team leader, the EORE agent should deliver Explosive Ordnance Risk Education

Activities:             

  • Conduct Outreach of beneficiaries on Household and occupation levels.
  • Conduct Explosive Ordnance Risk Education sessions;
  • Work closely with Land Release PM and RE Team Leader regularly to discuss and update EO RE activities;
  • Support RE TL in design and plan EO RE activities and send the PM the EO RE planning on weekly basis or upon need;
  • Provide the RE TL with IMSMA reports and submissions on daily basis to be submitted to LMAC;

Responsibility 2: Data management, reporting and team collaboration

Activities:

  • Ensure data collected is accurate, complete and consistent;
  • Collect all the missing information from the field related to the outreach process, or to IMSMA reporting
  • Range all the open files in order and respect confidentiality
  • Participate in the different activities that are common to all team members
  • Work in harmonic coordination with all teams’ members
  • Timely inform your line manager of your weekly needs and produce the related documentation
  • Daily reporting on IMSMA submissions and Weekly planning related to EO RE activities
  • Ensure internal standards and guidelines are respected

Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree in the field of education, social sciences, psychology
  • Previous experience in the related field with preference with NGO is an asset.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of conducting Risk Education sessions especially on Explosive Ordnance and ability to perform Focus Group Discussions when needed.
  • Understanding of a comprehensive approach on disability and vulnerability.
  • Proven coordination skills to work with a diverse network of actors, including the public authorities, in a diplomatic manner.
  • Efficient reporting skills from the field
  • Candidate must have a strong local knowledge of the area
  • Ability to relate to the target group (be approachable, shows empathy) and work with children.
  • Ability to propose workable solutions and identify their implications (positive and negative) adapted to beneficiaries’ needs.
  • Ability to adapt to the harsh environment and work calmly under pressure with limited supervision
  • English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written), French would be an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage and follow up a number of referred cases timely and accurately.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Ability to work under high pressure with a great level of personal organization.
  • Diplomacy sense, Flexibility, Team spirit

Basic salary for the position : Team Member/Agent  position  is going  to be paid according to HI salary Grid..

Basic Salary : Starting 1000 USD
