1. Background:
The general objective of SOLIFEM project is to support the transition from the informal to the formal economy through tripartite social dialogue in Lebanon and other countries in the region, including Algeria, Egypt, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). It will pursue this objective through strengthening the capacity of the ILO tripartite constituents to act through social dialogue on two fronts –first, the development of integrated strategies on formalization and second, the development of skills training and recognition systems, with a particular focus on women and youth. Developing the capacity of youth women and men in the formal and informal labour markets, will help them overcome challenges in accessing formal jobs in that sector and support the national initiative of the ministry of industry in responding to food security crises that may arise due to the economic and political situation.
Project main outcomes:
Outcome 1: Enabling national policy frameworks to facilitate the transition of informal economy workers and economic units to the formal economy in place, developed through dialogue between the tripartite constituents
Outcome 2: Skills development systems that enable young people and women in the informal economy to access formal employment
2. Objective:
In order to showcase the activities and achievements of the SOLIFEM project through dynamic and compelling visual content to be used on social media, the project is planning to contract an individual consutlant to help in capturing the essence of fieldwork activities, information sessions, and workshops. The consultnat will contribute to developping visual content through skillful photography, videography, content editing. This consutlnatcy aims to help SOLIFEM in raising awareness, engaging target audiences, and promoting the project's outcomes and impact.
3. Overview:
We are seeking a creative individual consultant to produce Multimedia content. The consultant will be responsible for capturing fieldwork activities through photography and videography, editing the captured content, and curating engaging social media posts with captivating captions.
The role will include various tasks, including filming information sessions and workshops, producing high-quality media content, and preparing products for social media platforms to ensure the effective dissemination.
The consultancy contract will be covering a period of 3 months September, October, November (exact start date and end date to be determined).
Activities will take place across Lebanon, including in Tripoli, Saida district and Beirut.
Considering the scope of the consultancy, the estimated number of activities is 15.
4. Conditions of contract:
The completion of one product entails receiving it in its final form. And therefore, includes all of the responsibilities listed below:
1. Photography and Videography:
Capture high-quality photos and videos during fieldwork activities, information sessions, and workshops.
Ensure proper framing, lighting, and composition to deliver visually appealing content.
Use appropriate equipment and techniques to achieve professional results.
2. Content Editing:
Edit photos and videos to enhance quality and storytelling.
Select and compile the most engaging and relevant content for different platforms.
Employ editing software to refine the captured footage while maintaining the authenticity of the content.
3. Prepare product for Social Media:
Create captivating captions that align with the project's voice and engage the target audience.
Use hashtags and other strategies to optimize reach and engagement.
4. Post-Production:
Edit and finalize content.
Implement any necessary colour correction, audio enhancements, or visual effects.
5. Deliverables:
The number of deliverables is 15 completed products as per the description above
6. Payment:
A total of five instalments as follow:
Payment 1: 20 % Upon the completion of 3 deliverables.
Payment 2: 20 % Upon the completion of 3 deliverables.
Payment 3: 20% Upon the completion of 3 deliverables.
Payment 4: 20% Upon the completion of 3 deliverables.
Payment 5: 20% Upon the completion of 3 deliverables.
7. Qualifications:
- BA degree in videography, audio visual arts and related fields.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in photography and videography techniques, equipment, and software.
- Strong skills in content editing, utilizing software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in developing social media products for projects.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate compelling ideas for content.
- Strong communication skills to convey brand messaging effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Prior experience in fieldwork or event coverage is a plus.
