 “Suppliers of Seeds and Seedlings”

Assignment title: Establishing framework agreements for the procurement of seeds and seedlings for a duration of one year from the date of contract signature. Multiple framework agreements may be executed with different suppliers, depending on item availability in terms of variety, quantity, and delivery timelines.

Assignment Location(s):  

The procured seeds and seedlings will be distributed in Bekaa & Baalbek el hermel governates.

1. Program Summary/Scope of the call for quotation:

In addition to providing Farmer Field School training, SI will assist small-scale farmers by supplying agricultural kits containing seeds and seedlings to encourage the adoption of sustainable farming methods. SI will give preference to local suppliers and aim to endorse indigenous seed varieties and native tree species, while also facilitating alternatives to costly imported breeds.

Governorate: Baalbek El hemel, Bekaa

District: Baalbek, Zahle and West Bekaa

3. Documents to be submitted:

The supplier shall submit the following documents:

1. Profile of the company submitting the offer.
2. Legal documents such as registration, VAT registration or any other convenient documents.

3. Quotation stamped and signed.

5. Payment:

Payment will be made by SI through bank transfer or cheque only, upon presentation and validation of the delivery by the program project manager.

The Financial offer should include the unit price since the shared amounts is an estimation for what will be possibly purchased later.

Solidarités International will not cover incidentals, including transportation, per diems and communications costs, separately, as these should be factored into the supplier's overall offer.

Companies that are applying for this call for quotation should provide the overall offer (Financial and technical) specifying if they are or not VAT registered; if the supplier is VAT registered the final price must include VAT, some agricultural inputs items may be VAT exempted, please specify if it is the case. 

6. Other Considerations:

• Follow the rules and regulations of SI, including the SI code of conduct for Vendors and meet the program’s objectives and abide by the set work plan.
• Conduct themselves both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to SI and not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
• Only those applications found acceptable and evaluated positively will be shortlisted, any missing info or documents requested in the call for the quotation will be automatically disqualified.
