Part-time Telemarketer

Job Mission:

To assist and work directly with Fund Development Team as Telemarketer for the end of year campaign.

• The telemarketer supports the individual giving fundraisers in raising funds according to the pland and targets.
• The telemarketer conducts her/his work according to guidelines and the Fund Development & Communications Department’s planning and reporting procedure.

Major responsibilities:

• Raising funds through telemarketing from individuals according to the business plan and targets
• Supports in conducting telemarketing campaign in acquisition and follow up of donors
• Database management (data entry, monitoring and reporting)
• Assist in managing media and donor relations.
• Assist in tasks that are related to communicating with donors

Child Safeguarding (CS)

• Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles
• Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to the respective line manager.

Skills and experience required:

• Proven record of accomplishment of at least 3 years telemarketing or sales.
• Knowledge and experience in Excel and data entry
• Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality, i.e. ability to identify and take advantage of fundraising opportunities.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Good MS Office commands (Word, Power Point, especially Access and Excel)
