ToR - Content Creator/ Videographer

BACKGROUND:

The ILO is implementing the project “Women in Management Initiative (WIMIN) –supporting women to reach management and leadership positions in firms and workers’ and employers’ organisations”. Through this intervention, which covers Lebanon ILO fosters the participation of Lebanese women in management and leadership positions in employers and workers organizations and in selected firms. Following a gender mapping assessment of women's presence in enterprises and sectors within the Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI) conducted in May 2023, significant results have revealed commendable gender-sensitive policies in ALI member companies. These positive findings are vital to highlight, promoting ALI's dedication to gender equality and enhancing its reputation and that of its member organizations. Such efforts will contribute to boosting ALI's visibility among potential donors interested in backing initiatives focused on gender equality and women's empowerment.

The assignment project is undertaken within the framework of the Association of Lebanese Industrialist (ALI) and is supported by the Women in Management project (WIMIN) provided by the International Labour Organization (ILO).

The Content Creator/ Videographer will be engaged to produce a series of 5 short-duration videos in Arabic showcasing male and female employees, board members, CEOs, and business owners from different sectors showing the positive contribution that women has led to their business, their economic return for them to promote women employment or leadership, the quality and values that women demonstrated in the world of work or the reasons why more women are needed in decision making positions.

OBJECTIVE

To create 5 short videos interviews of around 3- 5 minutes each with ALI members or their workforce, edited according to the ILO branding hub and visibility guideline[1]s in high resolution and formats suitable for website and social media platforms. The short videos will feature between 7 to 10 individuals(CEOs, members of the board, managers, employees, etc) from various sectors who have displayed positive attitudes and practices regarding gender inclusivity and empowerment.

RESPONSABILITIES

The Content Creator/ Videographer's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

a. Collaborate with ALI to identify and engage male and female employees, board members, CEOs, and business owners from sectors highlighted in the gender mapping findings.

b. Plan, script, and create a series of short, engaging videos that effectively portray gender inclusivity and empowerment best practices.

c. Ensure that the videos highlight the positive attitudes and actions of featured individuals and organizations.

d. Utilize creative and technical skills to produce high-quality video content suitable for distribution on ALI's website and social media platforms.

e. Maintain adherence to the project's timeline and budget.

f. The Content Creator/ Videographer will work closely with ALI and ILO to ensure that the project objectives are met. Regular progress updates and coordination with ALI's communication team are essential throughout the engagement.

DELIVERABLES

The Content Creator/Videographer will be expected to provide the following deliverables:

  • Deliverable 1: The concept, script, questions to be answered in the video and list of profiles to be interviewed.
  • Deliverable 2: Filming and editing high-resolution 5 short videos suitable for online distribution. Videos to include subtitles and lower thirds and to be filmed in suitable format for both social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and X ) and website use.

PAYMENT

Two instalments upon completion and submission of deliverables to the satisfaction of the ILO.

Payment 1: 40% payment upon the completion and clearance by ILO of deliverable 1.

Deliverable 2: 60% payment upon the completion and clearance by ILO of deliverable 2.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA degree in videography, audio visual arts and related fields.
  • Proof of previous similar nature of work.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in photography and videography techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Strong skills in content creation, utilizing software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate compelling ideas for content.
  • Strong communication skills to convey brand messaging effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Interested candidates are requested to submit their CV, to baderm@ilo.org with a portfolio showcasing relevant videography work (3 examples), and a brief proposal on main ideas for each of the 5 videos.

The application must include a financial offer with a as per below table (including all fees and possible related costs).  Application Deadline: 4 November 2023
