Senior Case Manager - North

Responsibilities And Obligations:

  • Assignment and organization of cases:

Act as focal point for case management referral in the area, whether internal ones received by the team or external ones received by external stakeholders

Assign case management to psychosocial teams based on their availability and the specifics of each case, ensuring an even distribution of high-risk cases among the teams

Manage and follow up on assigned social and psychosocial team’s work as per the guidance of the caseload distribution between SCM and SSW

Organize and conduct weekly meetings with the resilience team

Actively coordinate and monitor the implementation of activities in the shifts

Follow-up on the weekly schedule submitted by the Social Workers and Psychologists

Monitor the team’s response to hotline calls and the proper filling of   corresponding documents

  • Case reviews - Monitoring and validation of action plans and interventions:

Validate the psychosocial team’s decision in medium & high-risk cases

Conduct continuous strategy meeting to review cases in all intervention stages as per the Resilience Program process: primary assessment, assessment, action plan, revision of action plan and closure

Make sure that all measures taken are in line with the Resilience program’s guidelines, procedures, and SOP’s timeframe, with respect to the Lebanese Law

  • Team leading and development:

Coordinate with the Resilience Program Management regarding training addressed to the resilience team, and provide feedback 

Participate to documentation’s diffusion

Conduct technical interview for social workers when requested

Organize and manage newly recruited SWs and Psychologist’s induction as per the induction procedure

Evaluate the performance of the psychosocial team (probation period and performance appraisal) and provide constructive recommendations in coordination with the Area Manager and Resilience program Management

Commit to supporting SW and Psychologist interns as per the internship’s procedure

  • Networking, coordination and reporting:

Participate in the program’s strategy updates

Coordinate with the area prevention team leader to ensure the best community and family approach to cases

Update the Program Management on challenges and trends of the implementation on regular basis and through monthly reports and meetings

Coordinate, revise and monitor all internal and external reports submitted by the assigned team to external official parties: judges, MOSA, MEHE… and partners: UPEL, local and international NGOs, International Social Services (ISS)…

Participate actively in weekly meetings with Regional Manager and Team Leader

Coach the SSW and monitor the supervision of ongoing cases on a monthly basis

Participate in the Senior Case Manager monthly meetings

Document all decisions taken and share them with the concerned team members

Elaborate regional activities action plan and discuss implementation with Area Manager

Communicate and coordinate with Area Manager on teams’ urgent needs regarding insecurities, emergencies, and other issues related to the region

Communicate with the Administrative Officer on the team’s logistics needs

Commit to group initiatives that are intended to enhance performance: psychosocial workshop, brainstorming meeting, supervision, team activities

Establish a solid network of stakeholders in the area

  • Miscellaneous:

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of himaya by effectively communicating information about its activities, projects, mission, values, and history

Adhere to the mission and values of himaya by adopting and conveying its core values and concepts in both personal and professional contexts

Participate in all activities and events organized by himaya (e.g., staff care, end-of-year gatherings...,)

Respect the Code of Conduct, the Child Protection Safeguarding Policy, the PSEAH Policy, and all internal regulations

- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or any other relevant humanitarian field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in complex situations
- Knowledge of child protection laws and their implementation in Lebanon (e.g. Personal status Law, 422/2002 Law, 293 Law, 220/2000 Law...)
- Organization skills, ability to plan, define tasks’ priority and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize information to support and apply intervention methods and techniques
- Team management and conflict resolution skills, with experience collaborating and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in oral and written communication.

- Engaged in self-improvement by practicing self-observation, self-questioning, and personal development
- Strong networking and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
