Job Description
- Provide guidance and work closely with the social workers (CM/PSS) to enhance the mental health of detainees, for individuals under counselling and/or treatment, as well as those benefiting from psychosocial support by social workers
- Provide individual counselling;
- Prescribe medicine upon need;
- Consult with prison doctors on mental health cases;
- Refer cases to prison authorities that requires a transfer;
- Protection monitoring (identified violations) at detention facilities documenting and referring situations of concerns to social workers for reporting to UNHCR;
- Provide other activities as deem fit;
Qualifications
- Ability to provide structured clinical assessments and clear action plan
- A bachelors degree in Psychology
- At least 2 to 3 years of expereince working in the field of Psychology
- Ability to recognize mental health priority conditions as per the mhGAP
- Demonstrating a high level of cultural sensitivity, professionalism, politeness and objectivity when dealing with the beneficiaries under all circumstances.
- Flexible, proactive, problem solver, team player, trustworthy, and willing to accommodate for difficult and unexpected situations
- Availability of a Car
- Clean Criminal Record is a Must
