FPSS / SEL Facilitator - Akkar, Lebanon

The René Moawad Foundation has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.  Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.

Project title: Upscaling Education, Protection and WASH services for vulnerable children and their caregivers in Akkar supported by the LHF.

Job Summary:

We are actively looking for passionate and dedicated Facilitators to provide SEL and FPSS sessions to beneficiaries

This role offers a distinct opportunity to ignite inspiration and foster education among young minds.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitators will commit to attend all workshops required before the implementation with a max absence 10 %
  • Implement the sessions in line with the curriculum and workshop, on a periodical manner and evaluate each session with the children.
  • Ensures FPSS is delivered in line with global minimum standards and national PSS committee and Child Protection working group standards.
  • Ensure that all activities are done in an appropriate location in line with minimum standards.
  • Document all necessary feedback and provide regular monitoring report to the line manager and the Project Manager on the progress of children.
  • Ensure that all children and caregivers are aware of any Feedback and complaint mechanism.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Education, child development, psychology or other social sciences field.
  • Very good knowledge of the region and its challenges.
  • Excellent knowledge of child protection, GBV and PSS principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development.
  • Good knowledge of psychosocial first aid skills.
  • Language: Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
  • Dedication to fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.

Professional Standards:

  • All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Duration:

The project will span 8 months, starting on January 15, 2024, and ending on Nov 30, 2024. The facilitator is expected to deliver all the required services within this period.

Payment terms

The Teacher is expected to complete and submit:

  • the approved deliverable
  • relevant invoice and timetable to be able to process the payment

If the above information, especially (the financial number) is not included, RMF shall deduct the due tax (7.5%) in accordance with the provisions of Articles 41 and 42 of the Income Tax Law.
