Inclusion Officer

 

  1. Monitoring and Implementing Activities:

 

  • Visit centers, ITSs, and Schools to ensure the quality of the inclusion activities
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring for inclusion focal points and coordinate regular meetings
  • Ensure the proper usage of the inclusion tools and data is accurately collected and verified in coordination with the inclusion focal points, war child officers and therapists.
  • Ensure timely entry of data related to children receiving inclusion services, including tracking sheets, case conference sheets, and case reports.
  • Ensure the principles of child protection and child participation are integrated into all activities.
  • Submit and archive reports on a regular basis as per the reporting timeline.

 

Result: All field activities are monitored in such a way that complies with the Child Protection Policy and challenges are dealt with.

 

  1. Coordination and Communication:

 

  • Oversees the implementation of a referral scheme for beneficiaries in need of specialized support, including identification of reliable services and suppliers who could provide needed technical aids
  • Communicate and coordinate specialized services session schedules with therapists.
  • Communicate and coordinate with various departments to ensure proper inclusion of children in project activities.

Result: Coordination and communications are conducted in such a way that requests are answered and Child Safety/ Protection concerns are reported.

 

3. Competency Building:

Provides training on the job and methodological support and guidance to teachers and inclusion focal points on:

  • Early recognition of signs of difficulties and needs
  • Determining appropriate activities that will aid the children in learning as effectively as possible; planning, adapting, and modifying conventional teaching methods and assessment tools to meet the individual needs of children with learning difficulties and disabilities; developing multisensory teaching activities and resources; ensuring that classroom and extracurricular activities encourage the participation of all children.
  • Mobilizing resources within the schools/centers and their communities to assist in minimizing barriers to learning and participation for all students, not only those with impairments or those who are categorized as ‘having special educational needs’. This includes participation in physical assessment of educational centers for rehabilitation aiming at improving accessibility

Any other duty assigned by the Line Manager.

 

Necessary experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in Inclusion
  • Preferably previous experience in Integrated Inclusive
  •  Projects Education, Child Protection, and Psycho-social Support
  • Preferably experience in coaching teachers and/or teacher training
  • Preferably previous experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations

Education level:

Bachelor Degree

  • Inclusion
  • Or any related field

 

Require skills:

  • Strong Social and Communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and be capable to deal  with difficult security conditions
  • Fluent in Arabic and strong writing skills in English
  • Capacity to work in small teams and flexibility to take on new tasks
  • Cultural sensitivity
