Community Facilitator

RDFL is seeking a Community Facilitator for Beirut - Zouk area. 

Objectives:

• Oversee the on-the-ground execution of community-based initiatives with an emphasis on assisting women and girls.

• Establish and maintain connections with stakeholders, partners, and members of the community.

• Encourage partners, the community, and service providers to communicate and work together.

• Make sure that women and girls have a smooth experience by using coordinated and cooperative approaches.

• Contribute in real time to the Our Place team by offering input on implementation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Encourage group members to engage in project activities.

• Offer instruction to group participants.

• Collaborate with clan leaders, elders, local, and religious leaders to share information and increase project acceptance.

• Regularly document and share procedures, lessons learned, personal experiences, and best practices with the project coordinator.

• Organize events for the organization and target populations.

• Assist the group in establishing ground rules, keeping journal entries, and building referral networks.

• Help resolve conflicts and misunderstandings among group members.

• Conduct regular meetings with group members to evaluate changes in behaviors, knowledge, attitudes, and practices relating to land rights.

• Actively participate in monthly meetings with the project coordinator and project manager to share experiences.

• Prepare monthly reports for submission to the project coordinator.

Key tasks:

• Build strong relationships with local authorities, girls, women, and vulnerable individuals.

• Identify community challenges and needs.

• Hold community-based social cohesion activities centered on gender equality.

• Assess community needs and help those in need.

• Assist the team in producing materials, agendas, and other essential tools.

• Help build short- to mid-term teamwork plans.

• Take part in surveys and assessments, including data collecting and group discussion facilitation.

• Help monitor and evaluate the program.

• Collaborate with social workers and focal points.

• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the project coordinator or management.

Reporting structure:

• Overall Supervision: Project Coordinator in addition to the Community Stabilization Protection Officer or GBV Technical Advisor

Deliverables:

• Regular reporting on community-based social cohesiveness.

• Identify and document community challenges and needs, including possible solutions.

• Conducted community-based social cohesion initiatives, such as training and events.

• Collected survey and assessment data, facilitated group discussions.

• Helped create materials, agendas, and tools for program activities.

• Actively participate in program monitoring and assessment procedures.

• Support and collaboration for social workers and focal points.

• Complete all project-related tasks on time as allocated by the coordinator or manager.
