Research Lead

The role will entail the following:

• Lead on designing and the implementation of community outreach plans and tools in close coordination with funding agency. The outreach activities will be done with Syrian refugee households in order to solicit the interest of willing refugee households to document their claims back in Syria.
• Work with the funding agency on the development of communication material as needed for the community outreach component.
• Conduct outreach process: the outreach activities will require identifying and closely working with key community personnel in Syrian refugee communities, local active NGOs implementing projects with Syrian refugees, and with selected municipalities to reach Syrian refugee residents. Outreach activities may also include community activities and meetings.
• Produce regular report on completed activities on a timely basis to the funding agency.

• Providing project updates, discuss strategies, obstacles, performance plans, and monitoring and evaluation process with the designated project manager.

Requirements

Our team is looking for a Research Lead with a strong contextual understanding of the Syria conflict and experience in research on Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, including following data protection guidelines.
• Experience with and understanding of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon and the potential risks that might arise.
• In-depth knowledge of the Syrian’s obstacles to locate their housing, lands, and properties in their areas of origin inside Syria.
• Having leadership qualities, and good experience working with teams.
