1.Context & Background
Bolstering Agriculture Systems’ Ability to Invest, Nourish, and Employ (BASATINE) is a four-year project that aims to support farmers and other value chain and associated sector actors in areas of Beqaa and Akkar focused on the production of wheat and vegetables, seeking a territorial approach and promoting linkages with other value chains. Through complementary interventions designed in alignment with the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, the project will immediately address food insecurity and provide needed income and technical support to farmers to survive this tumultuous time, as well improve the capacity of food systems to maintain employment and growth in the longer term via stronger domestic production and system linkages. This will ultimately contribute to greater economic stability – particularly for women, improved rural development, and more positive social cohesion between host/refugee communities at a local level.
For this purpose, Berytech, through the BASATINE Project, will hire a consultant/consultancy firm to facilitate the launch of a comprehensive website, aligning seamlessly with the company's branding and identity. Simultaneously, an effective social media exposure strategy should be developed and implemented, incorporating content creation tips and recommendations to optimize the company’s digital presence and engagement.
ESG Consideration: The chosen consultancy service will ensure that all branding and marketing materials are gender-responsive, inclusive in terms of language, and convey messages and visuals that resonate with women end-users.
Impact: The primary objective of this Technical Assistance (TA) is to support the company in establishing its brand profile, enhancing its online presence, and expanding its sales both in Lebanon and for export.
2. Objectives:
The primary objectives of this consultancy are as follows:
- Develop and launch a comprehensive website that serves as a powerful online platform, reflecting the company's identity, values, and offerings and showcasing the company's unique value proposition, product range, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement an efficient and industry-rooted marketing strategy for exposure on social media to enhance the company’s digital presence, interaction, and audience engagement.
3. Scope of Work:
The consultant is expected to perform the following tasks:
- Development and Launching of a Comprehensive Website:
- Assess the current branding and identity guidelines of the targeted company.
- Refine the unique selling proposition for each target audience/ client segment in the local and international markets.
- Develop visual elements and messaging that align with the established branding guidelines including a cohesive color scheme, typography, and imagery.
- Incorporate branding elements consistently across all pages for a unified online presence.
- Ensure the website seamlessly aligns with the company's branding and incorporates essential export-related information.
- Create a dedicated section or page emphasizing the company's commitment to high-quality standards.
- Development of Marketing Elements to guide and enhance the company’s online presence:
- Develop content that effectively communicates the company's core values, mission, and unique selling points.
- Highlight the diverse product range with visually appealing elements.
- Design and organize an intuitive and visually appealing product catalog that highlights key features and benefits including brand story, communication messages, awareness on Lebanese Traditional Mouneh Products and value proposition.
- Ensure product descriptions, features, and specifications are optimized for increased visibility in search engine results.
- Optimizing Presence and Engagement on Social Media platforms:
- Research and identify the most suitable social media platforms based on the company's target audience and industry.
- Develop a content strategy tailored to each platform, considering the type of content that resonates best with the target audience.
- Create a content calendar outlining the schedule and topics for posts, ensuring a consistent posting schedule.
- Develop and implement guidelines for incorporating storytelling, visual elements, and interactive content to maximize engagement.
- Promotional Materials for Digital Marketing Campaigns: Focused on traditional Mouneh consumers, health-conscious segments, cost competitiveness, and Lebanese culture including posts (real pictures with captions in Arabic/English, infographics, and other multimedia).
5. Deliverables:
The consultant is expected to deliver the following:
- Technical Assessment Report outlining the branding and communication guidelines of the targeted company.
- Branded and cohesive website incorporating export-related information showcasing the unique value proposition of the targeted company.
- Provide guidance and training to the team of the targeted company on developing proficient, appealing content tailored to the target audience. The consultant should also work closely with the company’s team to impart best practices and techniques for maximizing consumer engagement and brand resonance through compelling content.

6. Qualifications and Expertise:
The consultant should possess the following qualifications and expertise:
- Proven experience in consulting within the agriculture or agribusiness sector, with a focus on digital marketing, branding, and website development.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including website development and social media marketing.
- Track record in developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing plans.
- Proficiency in website development and design, with experience in creating user-friendly and visually appealing websites.
- Strong understanding of brand management principles and the ability to seamlessly integrate branding into a website.
- Proven expertise in social media management, including platform selection, content strategy development, and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with tools and analytics for monitoring and optimizing social media performance.
- Ability to guide and advise on effective content creation for websites and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey recommendations and strategies to the targeted company and its internal team.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements.
Intervention Modality
- Upon selection, the implementation timeline is expected to fall between March 20, 2024 till July 31, 2024.
- The consultant will prepare and submit an end-of-intervention report as part of the consultancy job and attend all onboarding meetings that are required by the program team.

Timeline and Application
The selected Consultant(s) is/are expected to start his/her activities the soonest after selection; an exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultants’ availability. The tentative timeline is between March 2024 till July 2024.
For an application to be complete, candidates should submit the following documents:
- Technical proposal (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in section: “Scope of Work, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
- Profile and project references (maximum three pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s)background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as annex) along with project references on the topic.
- Financial Proposal describing the expected renumeration and the proposed timeframe of the intervention detailed per deliverable as listed above.
