The Development & Coordination Officer’s primary function involves implementing administrative tasks, supporting strategic initiatives, and archiving internal and project data, facilitating seamless communication and participating in development initiatives to ensure the effective execution of the center's mission and vision. Additionally, the role encompasses tracking progress, measuring impact, and supporting data-driven decision-making across various projects and initiatives.
Duties Performed:
- Gathers data from all the ongoing projects and initiatives to uphold the MEAL framework, dashboard and database.
- Prepares and organizes documents, reports, and presentations for the center’s leadership and community.
- Assists in executing projects and initiatives by coordinating tasks, ensuring timelines are met, and supporting project documentation.
- Supports the implementation of the strategic vision by collaborating with the core team in designing and executing implementation roadmaps.
- Assists in establishing and updating AUB-NCC’s policies and procedures.
- Assists in the creation of SMART objectives, logic models, monitoring frameworks, and assessment plans.
- Maintains the KPIs tracking tools currently in place
- Assists project and partner staff with planning and executing M&E systems and activities.
- Supports data-driven program decision-making, and results reporting.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow.
- Provides support to the core team in all tasks, as required.
Work Contacts:
Collaborates closely with the Associate Director. Engages regularly with the MEAL personnel of the ongoing projects. Communicates with the Communications Officer and Subject Matter Experts to coordinate project-related activities.
Independence of Operations:
Reports to the Associate Director.
Minimum Requirements:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Communication, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of English language is a must.
- Possesses a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in administrative roles, project coordination, and communication facilitation.
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools, mainly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Exhibits exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring efficient handling of administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality while handling inquiries on behalf of the center’s leadership.
- Displays flexibility and adaptability to support various tasks, including field visits, data validation, and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Previous experience or exposure to environmental conservation or related fields is considered an advantage.
- Preferably, holds knowledge of the academic setting
- Familiarity with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) principles and practices, with a preference for candidates with practical experience in these areas is a plus.
