Communications Assistant (Entry-Level)

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Content Creation: Support the Communications Officer in developing content for various communication channels, including website updates, social media posts, and newsletters, focusing on simplicity and clarity.

 

2. Social Media Management: Assist in managing our social media accounts by creating informative, engaging, and effective posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring performance metrics to learn and improve strategies.

 

3. Graphic Design Support: Provide assistance in creating visual materials such as flyers and social media graphics using design software under the guidance of the Communications Officer.

 

4. Website Maintenance: Aid in updating website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency with branding guidelines, while learning essential content management system (CMS) operations.

 

5. Assistance with Communications Activities: Support the team in organizing and executing communications activities and campaigns, such as fundraising events and community outreach programs, while learning and gaining hands-on experience.

 

6. Digital Marketing Assistance: Assist in digital marketing tasks, including email campaigns and social media strategies, while gaining exposure to online fundraising techniques and analytics.

 

7. Photography and Videography: Learn and assist in capturing photos and videos during events for promotional purposes, under the guidance of the Communications Officer.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred.

- Understanding of communication principles and strategies.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as Adobe Creative Suite.

- Familiarity with social media platforms.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

- Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to the mission of hospice care.
